为了更好地培养学生的科学思维，万科双语学校于4月15日至19日举办了为期一周的“Science Fair科学周”活动，本次活动的主题为“今天的科技，明天的未来”。旨在通过丰富多彩的科学活动，将科学与生活实际相关联，激发学生们对科学的兴趣和好奇心，让学生们更好地理解和掌握科学知识，培养他们的科学思维和科学素养，让学生更加热爱科学，为未来的科学研究和探索打下坚实的基础。在科学组老师们的筹划和组织下，通过科学讲座、动手科学实验、展示科学课题，参加丰富的活动，同学们度过了充实且精彩的一周！

From April 15th to 19th, to better develop students’ scientific thinking, Vanke Bilingual School (VKBS) held a week-long “Science Week”, with the theme of “Today’s Technology, Tomorrow’s Future”. It aimed to connect science with daily lives through a variety of scientific activities to stimulate students’ interest and curiosity in science, enable them to better understand and master scientific knowledge, foster their scientific thinking and scientific literacy, and grow more passions for science, thus laying a solid foundation for future scientific research and exploration. The students had a wonderful week through activities including science lectures, hands-on science experiments and presentations of science topics planned and organized by the teachers of Science Group.

4月17日，由中国科学院上海应用物理研究所的郭威博士带来的主题讲座《从流浪地球开始的故事》，将科幻与科学紧密结合，引发学生对宇宙和地球未来的无限遐想，更激发了学生的科学探索精神。讲座中的生动故事和科学原理，让学生在轻松愉快的氛围中增长了知识，拓宽了视野。通过这次讲座，孩子们更深刻地认识到科学的力量，也激发了他们为地球和人类的未来贡献智慧的决心。

The theme lecture “Stories from The Wandering Earth” held on April 17th closely combined science fiction and science, triggering students’ infinite reverie about the future of the universe and Earth, and moreover inspiring students’ spirit of scientific exploration. The vivid stories and scientific principles in the lectures allowed students to enrich their knowledge and broaden their horizons in a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. Through this lecture, the students recognized the power of science more deeply and stimulated their determination to devote their wisdom to the future of Earth and the mankind.

万科双语学校STEAM峰会对学生们来说是一次难得的学习和成长机会。不仅能够拓宽孩子们的视野和知识面，还能培养大家的创新思维和实践能力，为他们的未来发展提供有力支持。

The VKBS STEAM Summit is a rare opportunity for students to learn and grow. Not only it can broaden students’ horizons and scopes of knowledge, but also cultivate their innovative thinking and practical skills, supporting their future development strongly.

孩子们通过设计DIY星球夜灯活动，不仅发展了自己的艺术创造力，提升动手能力，还激发了对宇宙的好奇与探索欲望，让学生在乐趣中深化对星球的认识，点亮科学梦想。

By designing DIY planet night lights, the students developed their artistic creativity and enhanced their hands-on skills. Furthermore, they were inspired to be curious about the universe and desirous of exploring it. So, they deepened their understanding of planets and lighted up their scientific dreams in fun.

小学部的主题是可持续发展和可再生能源对塑造地球美好未来的重要意义。通过一系列为各年级量身定制的项目和活动，引发学生们对环境责任的深刻理解，以及科学在应对紧迫的全球挑战中所发挥的作用。 

This year, our theme revolves around the vital importance of sustainability and renewable energy in shaping a brighter future for our planet. Through a series of engaging projects and activities tailored to each grade level, we aim to instill in our students a deep understanding of environmental responsibility and the role science plays in addressing pressing global challenges. 

🔍 一年级：潜入回收利用的世界，发现变废为宝的魔力！从制作喂鸟器到笔筒，我们的小科学家将在日常生活中探索回收材料的力量。

🔍 二年级：在探索可再生能源的过程中，利用太阳、风和水的力量！从建造微型风力涡轮机到设计太阳能玩具车，二年级的学生将探索可持续能源的无限可能。

🔍 三年级：设计和建造以重力、风能、太阳能或水能为动力的汽车，迎接史诗般的工程学挑战！准备好释放你的创造力和解决问题的技能，打造未来的交通工具。

🔍 四年级：深入探索弹性和储能的迷人世界，充分发挥想象力！从以橡皮筋为动力的弹射器到以弹簧为载体的交通工具，四年级的学生将踏上亲身实践的科学探索之旅。

🔍 五年级：在应对可持续发展的复杂挑战时，扮演环境管理员的角色。探索洁净水、可持续城市和负责任消费等主题，提出创新解决方案，为所有人创造更美好的未来。

🔍 Grade 1: Dive into the world of recycling and discover the magic of turning trash into treasure! From crafting bird feeders to pencil holders, our young scientists will explore the power of recycled materials in their everyday lives.

🔍 Grade 2: Harness the power of the sun, wind, and water as you explore renewable energy sources! From building mini wind turbines to designing solar-powered toy cars, our Grade 2 students will uncover the endless possibilities of sustainable energy.

🔍 Grade 3: Gear up for an epic engineering challenge as you design and construct vehicles powered by gravity, wind, solar, or water energy! Get ready to unleash your creativity and problem-solving skills to build the transportation of the future.

🔍 Grade 4: Stretch your imagination as you delve into the fascinating world of elasticity and energy storage! From rubber band-powered catapults to spring-loaded vehicles, our Grade 4 students will embark on a hands-on journey of scientific exploration.

🔍Grade 5: Take on the role of environmental stewards as you tackle the complex challenges of sustainable development. Explore topics like clean water, sustainable cities, and responsible consumption, and propose innovative solutions to build a brighter future for all.

科学周活动是学生们激发好奇心、培养创新精神和增强学生能力的催化剂，使他们成为社区内外积极变革的推动者。通过实践探索、协作学习和对现实世界问题的关注，点燃学生对科学的热情，促进他们培养终身学习的习惯和对环境管理的重视。我们一起踏上发现和探索之旅，为所有人描绘一个更加可持续和公平的未来。

Primary School Science Week serves as a catalyst for inspiring curiosity, fostering innovation, and empowering students to become agents of positive change in their communities and beyond. Through hands-on exploration, collaborative learning, and a focus on real-world issues, we ignite a passion for science that will fuel lifelong learning and environmental stewardship. Together, we embark on a journey of discovery and exploration, charting a course towards a more sustainable and equitable future for all.

科学主题分享 Science Speech ( A day without plastic/Fossil Fuels 没有塑料/化石燃料的一天，帮助学生认识到塑料和化石燃料对环境的影响，更加直观地感受到塑料在生活中的普遍性和对环境的影响，从而增强环保意识，认真思考如何采取行动来减少对化石燃料和塑料的依赖。

The Science Speech (A Day without Plastic/Fossil Fuels) made students aware of the impact of plastics and fossil fuels on the environment. As they could feel the ubiquity of plastics in daily lives and their impact on the environment straightforwardly, their environmental awareness could be enhanced and they took how to take action to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels and plastics into serious consideration.

中学部的学生们选择自己感兴趣的科学主题，向各位听众认真介绍展示自己的研究课题（背景、实验设计、数据分析、结果与改进），听取大家的意见，促进了师生的交流与合作，大家的支持与鼓励也有助于培养孩子们的自信心和成就感，激发他们对科学探索的热情。

Students chose the science topics they liked, carefully introduced their research topics to the audience by giving the background, experimental design, data analysis, results and improvements and listened to everyone’s opinions, which promoted the communication and cooperation between teachers and students. Everyone’s support and encouragement also helped develop student’s self-confidence and sense of achievement and stimulated their passions for scientific exploration.

科学组的老师们在二楼中庭设置了两处展览，第一个为地球宝藏展，利用各式各样的矿物、化石标本，让学生认识到地球的宝贵之处，了解到地球资源如何支持我们生活和科技发展，用可持续性发展的意识来思考问题。

南北极作为地球上最神秘、最极端的地方之一，本身就具有极高的吸引力。第二个为南北极科学考察主题展，展示中国南北极科学考察的生活和成果，探险故事以及科学家们的奋斗精神，能够激发学生的好奇心和求知欲，培养环保意识和全球视野。

The teachers of Science Group set up two exhibitions in the atrium on the second floor. One was the exhibition of the treasures of Earth where various mineral and fossil specimens were placed for students to acknowledge the preciousness of Earth, understand how Earth’s resources sustain our life and technological development, and think with the awareness of sustainable development.

The North and South Poles, as two of the most mysterious and extreme places on Earth, are highly attractive. The other exhibition was on the theme of North and South Polar scientific expeditions, which demonstrated the life and achievements of China’s North and South Polar scientific expeditions, the stories of expeditions and the fighting spirit of scientists. This exhibition could grow students’ curiosity, desire for knowledge, environmental awareness as well as global vision.

Science Fair科学周的圆满收尾要感谢每一位同学、老师和家长们的热情参与和辛勤付出！通过这一周的精彩活动，我们共同探索了科学的奥秘，感受了科学的魅力。希望我们的活动能激发大家更多的科学兴趣和创新精神，让我们在未来的日子里，继续以科学的态度去认识世界，用科学的智慧去创造未来！期待下一次科学周的到来，让我们再次相聚，共同开启新的科学之旅！

The Science Fair ended successfully, thanks to every student, teacher and parent for their enthusiastic participation and hard work. Through this week’s exciting activities, we together explored the mystery of science and felt the charm of science. We hope that with the activities, more scientific interest and innovative spirit can be inspired, so that we can continue to know the world with a scientific attitude and create the future with scientific wisdom in the coming days. Let’s look forward to the next Science Week where we will gather again and start a new journey to science!
